Youth With A Mission, Inc.  

Youth With A Mission Outreach, Inc was designed for the sole purpose of helping our youth become a better youth in and out of the home. Its purpose it to encourage and motivate them to become the best them they can be. we have various programs to keep our youth busy and off the streets. With this well-rounded program we attend to do that by first promoting academic excellence through our finish Strong Academic Program where we offer academic tutoring, high school program for the ones who have dropped out for various reason. In this program we realize that every child is different and learns differently which is the reason we teach a student not a class; we teach them the way they learn. 

    We don't stop there we also offer Vocational Training, Life Management skills, Military Readiness, Driver Ed., The Performing Arts, and The Y.E.L.P. program which stands for Young Entrepreneur Leading Productively which is those youth with a business Idea and need assistance in launching their business. When they finish our program, it won’t only be with a high school diploma be they will FINISH STRONG to the FINISH LINE achieving their goal giving them the necessary tools needed to survive life challenges. We collaborate with several organizations committed to serving the members of our community. our goals are to educate, promote self-awareness and independent living. They can always return to us for guidance and assistance through our network of team members that can assist with the various resources that will attend to their diverse needs.

Finish Strong Academic Program

WORDS FROM OUR STAFF

Youth With A Mission Outreach have done it again. We have designed a program that will allow our youth to finish strong. Most of our youth in the community have lost the excitement of graduating and completing the necessary requirements it takes to receive their high school diploma. 

We have reached out to the youth in the community to complete a survey, and the statistics show through the listening project that 85% of our high school students dislike school. Then there are 40% of our high school students is on the verge of quitting and Some have already dropped out. Our goal is to recognize the seriousness and the importance of educating the youth of today they are the future, they are our future doctors, lawyers, nurses, engineers CEO and presidents. We must motivate them to return and to help them with all the necessary requirements that they need to graduate and walk down the stage to receive their high School diploma. We will help them to finish strong to the finished line. 

After they receive their high school diploma, we will celebrate them by hosting a graduation ceremony. We will have the ceremony twice a year. They will prepare themselves to march with caps and gowns with professional pictures. They also could invite family, friends and loved ones to witness one of the most important days of their life.

Ecclesiastes 9:11- “The race is not given to the swift or to the strong, but to the one that endured to the end”.

Last night, I saw the grace, mercy and favor of God. I had the distinct honor to serve as the keynote speaker for the Finish Strong Academic Program graduates, who were all over the age of 18. There was sons who lost their mothers and then four generations of graduates ranging from the grandmother to mother, son, and daughter.  Seeing the joy on their as they receive their high school diploma was such a pleasure to see. Thank you for having me FSAP.

Here at Finish Strong Christian Academy you don’t only leave with a high school diploma, we take you to the finish line preparing each student with skills and the tools that they need to make it. Here at FSCA we give our students a taylor made curriculum fit for them,  vocational/career training,  performing arts, drivers education, military readiness, life management, and more. We aim for each student to reach their highest potential by educating them physically, financially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, we also will teach to reach and will meet each child where they are and guide them respectively to the finish line. 

We offer a wide range of services including but not limited to high school diploma, academic tutoring, life management, drives ed., military readiness, college prep, career management and performing art, youth programs, community outreach events, and more. 

  We keep them busy during the holidays, school breaks and summertime, with stage plays, talent competitions, academic tutoring, classes on etiquette and building life skills. We are requesting your help. You can donate monetary, academic supplies and other items to help the community youth. We served three different locations here in the city of Jacksonville and we appreciate all you can do.

 Save-to-Pay Scholarship Program-Acquiring a scholarship is a matter of prestige, and a proof of academic excellence and hard work. The financial element of scholarships elevates its important because it helps many of those who have financial difficulties. Thanks to YWAM for designing the Save to Pay scholarship program. The youth in this program is required to take life management courses to better prepare them for life after graduation. During this four-weeks course they will also receive budget counseling; when they receive their certificate, a saving account will be established (deposit only) in their name, and at the time of graduation we will match their savings up to $500

Vision Board   

YWAM program has been life changing to our participants and their families. This program helps them to target the issues that they are facing and giving them a solution on how they must deal with it; this program will also give them the tools they need for a career that will help lead them to financial freedom. they will survive.
